Chimes are long hanging metal tubes on a frame. Chimes are played with rubber or plastic hammers.
A vibraphone has metal bars with a resonating tube and a pedal. There is a motor in each resonator to create a vibrato effect. It is played with rubber or yarn mallets.
A snare drum is small circular drum in which we use in two ways to produce sound. The snares can be turned on for a crisp clear sound. The snares can be turned off with a metal switch, so that the sound is more hollow. A snare drum is played with wooden drum sticks.

Auxiliary Percussion includes triangle, crash cymbals, cowbell, vibraslap, wood blocks, maracas. These instruments are used when certain musical literature is used that requires these extra instruments.
